It’s a beautiful day outside here in Athens, GA. It’s a toasty 80 degrees and the sun has never shined brighter. From an outsider’s perspective, UGA’s campus probably looks like it belongs in a movie because it’s so beautiful. Too bad they don’t see the people studying for finals in the library with five cups of coffee and textbooks spread out on a table looking like they’re ready to cry. Thankfully, I’m not one of these people.
I’m chilling in the library because I wanted a change of scenery from my normal hideout. I feel great about my finals. Do I want to take them? Heck no. Am I prepared though? You bet your sweet petunia I am. If you’re thinking, “Kara, are you so prepared for your exams because you’ve been studying for hours on end this past week?” HA! No. Let’s just say that I actually pay attention in class, so I don’t have to cram material at the very last second.
I’m a very relaxed person. I’m so relaxed that I’m writing a blog post the day before I have two finals. You might think I’m crazy, but I’m just ready to be done, so I can actually go home and sleep in a bed that doesn’t feel like a wiggly piece of jello. It’s the final countdown, and I’m ready for my knights in shining armour, aka my mom, dad, and sister, to save me, the princess, from the tower of doom – my dorm.
I have three days left until I can be in a car with my family for 10+ hours singing Kumbaya. We’re all so excited to be in this enclosed space together for an extended period of time. Absolutely stoked.
Besides being rescued from my lovely dorm, I want to see my parents. Sure, I miss them and everything, but I NEED some Georgia merch! I walk around campus everyday and get so jealous of all these people with their cute red and black shirts and sweatshirts. It’s time for me to get some cute stuff to wear right in time for me to arrive in Pittsburgh, where no one will care at all about my college.
Putting everything else aside, the next time I write on this blog, I’ll officially be done with my sophomore year of college. Honestly, it can’t come soon enough. I’m ready to start my summer break where I’ll be laying out in the sun (with sunscreen of course), hanging out with friends, and making mula.
Until I’m a college junior, cheers my friends!
