Fettuccine Alfredo is a signature Italian dish with its creamy sauce. Personally, I love getting my Alfredo fix from the fine dining establishment of Olive Garden. Some people may frown upon Olive Garden because they do not believe it is real Italian food, but Olive Garden makes some tasty pasta. They make me get ~lost~ in the sauce.
Now, I found the Alfredo sauce recipe on the Olive Garden website, but I do not think it is the real recipe. The first time I made the Alfredo with their recipe, it tasted average. However, I made a few adjustments the second time and it was life changing! My version tasted BETTER than Olive Garden’s.
With a few simple steps, you can make Alfredo sauce in your own kitchen that is better than the restaurant’s!
Olive Garden’s Alfredo Sauce Recipe:
Ingredients:
6 Tablespoons butter
1 Tablespoon Garlic
2 Tablespoons All Purpose Flour
1 1/2 cups Whole Milk
1 1/2 cups Heavy Cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 Parmesan Cheese
1 1/2 cups Romano Cheese
Directions:
1. Melt the butter and garlic in a sauce pan on medium heat. Stir occasionally until butter is completely melted.
2. Add the remaining ingredients to the saucepan in order given and stir until cheese is completely melted. Remove from heat when sauce begins to simmer.
3. Pour Alfredo sauce over the pasta of your choosing and enjoy!
If you want to make your dish look professional, save a few shavings of cheese to sprinkle on each individual serving.
Now you can eat Olive Garden’s Alfredo any time you want without leaving the house. The only thing missing is the unlimited breadsticks…..
